SUBSTITUTE TEACHER - ASSISTANT TEACHER
Primary Responsibilities:
Ø Implement daily program and age-appropriate activities based on provided lesson plans.
Ø Create and maintain an attractive, safe, positive, environment in the classroom.
Ø Ensure the safety of children through direct supervision of activities and children.
Ø Set up materials to be used in daily routines per lesson plans.
Ø Understand and closely follow NYS OCFS Regulations for DCC
Ø Communicate with all co-teachers and assistants in classroom.
Qualifications:
ØTeaching or Speech Therapy certificate, experience with early childhood education, CDA preferred.
Ø Flexible, dependable, professional, and conscientious
Ø Ability to effectively communicate with children, professionals, and families.
Ø Be willing to work flexible hours as needed.
Hourly wage based upon Early Childhood Education experience; Hours vary according to need.

A Nationally Accredited Early Childhood & School-Age Program



1:1 Aide
Under the supervision of the Classroom Teacher and the Director of the Children's Programs, assists in the integration of this child into the activities for the classroom. This position is non-exempt as defined by the NYS Department of Labor.

Principle Responsibilities:
1. Support 1:1 child with specific goals as agreed upon with the classroom teachers and/or as written
up in his/her behavior plan/IEP that encourage growth, independence and functional skills. Refer to
child's IEP as you set goals.
2. Assist the Teachers in implementing the daily class plan by assisting with behavior management,
co-teaching at centers, and contributing observations on student progress specific to 1:1 child and
generally as you are needed.
3. Work to integrate this child into classroom activities. If the child is functioning well on his/her
own, move back and support the general functioning of the classroom, to support this integration in
a less structured manor.
4. Maintain daily anecdotal records specific to 1:1 child and relating to goals, as required by the
teacher.
5. Attend scheduled RCN staff and in-service meetings (If part-time, when able to).
6. Assist in the maintenance of an attractive, clean and safe classroom.
7. Develop and maintain a positive rapport with parents and co-teachers.
8. Communicate with therapists, teachers, parents and others as needed to relay or
share information regarding the 1:1 child.

OFFICE ASSISTANT (SMILE)-part time with job share
Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager with oversight from the Director of SMILE Program, is responsible to assist with the smooth running of office operation. This position is non-exempt under guidelines from the NYS Department of Labor.
General Office Responsibilities:
1. Assist with reviewing and organizing SMILE forms and files.
2. Assist Main Office Manager with registration:
Compile registration packets- school calendar, welcome letter, bus information, all release forms, student data forms, emergency information etc. At registration time, assist with collecting birth certificates, proof of residency, and physicals. Assist with registration meetings as needed.
3. Copying and collating of material as needed for all Center Programs
4. Answer center phone calls and faxing of information to districts as needed.
5. Act as one of the centers Health Advocates with MAT Certification.
Evaluation Process Responsibilities
6. Set Annual Meeting times, compile and copy Annual Review Packets for SMILE Program as per CPSE/CSE meeting dates.
7. Track, print and mail quarterly IEP Updates to Parents.
8. Any other duties as requested by the SMILE Director.
Minimum Requirements: An AAS in related field with 2-3 years experience in office management. (585) 473-2858
