Early Intervention Program - Birth-3 years of age - Provides speech therapy,
special instruction, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and psychological services to children in classrooms
at RCN and in the community.
Integrated Preschool Program - for 3 and 4 year olds placed through the
CPSE process. Times: 9-11:30AM or 1-3:30 PM RCN and the SMILE program offer classrooms which support the special
needs of 3 and 4 year old children. The program staff consists of a Special educator, teacher assistant and Speech
therapist who support the Early childhood staff. In addition an Occupational therapist and Physical therapist provide
services and one to one aides additional support as needed. Therapy is provided within the classrooms and therapy
rooms. Communication and involvement with parents is a key component. Parent training opportunities and participation
activities are a regular piece of the program.
Special Education: SEIT (Special
Education Itinerant Teacher) visits children in various settings in the community and at RCN to provide Special
Education services that address educational, social, and self help/adaptive needs.

Speech therapy - Speech therapists
provide therapy to children in various community settings and at RCN, to support needs in receptive, expressive,
pragmatic language, articulation and oral motor therapy.
Occupational therapy - Therapist
provides therapy to children at RCN and in the community to support needs in the areas of fine motor development,
sensory processing, regulatory development and oral motor development.
Physical therapy - Therapist provides
therapy to children at RCN and in the community to support needs in the area of gross motor development.
Counseling - CSW provides therapy
to children with social and
emotional needs.
Evaluation team: Provides educational evaluations in core areas of development
including - cognitive learning, social, self-help/adaptive, motor/sensory, and communication areas of development
upon referral from CPSE or Early Intervention .
Team consists of - Coordinator - Special Educator, Psychologist, Family Service Worker- CSW and Speech Pathologist.
The team provides comprehensive evaluations for: Preschool (3-5 year olds) and Early Intervention (Birth - 2 year
