RCN offers a number of opportunities for volunteers:
READERS - To read to young children. Volunteer opportunities available
Monday through Friday mornings.
SPEAKERS - To speak to groups
of parents or teachers on a range of topics, including parenting, discipline, developmentally appropriate play,
working with children who have special needs, etc.
MAIL STUFFERS - To help stuff
envelopes for direct mail appeals to donors.
HOLIDAY ANGELS - To shop, sponsor,
organize or deliver gift bags in December to needy children and families.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS - To serve on
our Special Events Committee. RCN holds several fundraisers each year. Past events have included catalog sales,
book fairs, a family fun night picnic, as well as an exclusive opera performance, a play, an art auction and a
musical.
EVENT CHAPERONES - RCN typically
holds two fundraising events that are open to the public each year. Chaperones help to set up events, direct patrons,
seat guests, and distribute programs.

to be at least 14 years old, submit to a criminal background check including fingerprinting, and undergo a tuberculosis
